CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We welcome you to the NORNA congress 2027 on April 21st –23rd, 2027 in Helsinki, Finland. The theme of the congress is ‘High competence – high-quality care’.

Clinical operating room nurses, nurse managers and leaders, nurse researchers, specialists, educators, and all others interested in operating room nursing are invited to submit one or more abstracts. The submitted abstracts should reflect the theme of the congress and address various aspects of operating room nursing, including clinical patient care, management, and education. Abstracts are expected to demonstrate how professional competence and high‑quality care practices support and strengthen patient safety in operating rooms.

Submission guidelines and important deadlines

The work presented in the abstract may be an original research study (incl. literature reviews), or a quality improvement project. Please note that, the abstract must be written in English, and the presentation must be given in English.

Please, submit your abstract electronically through the congress submission website. The abstracts must be submitted by the 30th of September 2026.

Only complete submissions are eligible for review. It is not possible to amend the abstract afterwards. Once the abstract has been fully submitted, a confirmation email will automatically be sent to the email address provided for the contact person.
